8.1, 8.5 (no average value).
9.1, 9.3-9.5.
11.1-11.6 (no rearrangements), 11.8-11.10 (no binomial series), estimating the sum of a series is omitted.
17.1, 17.3 (only vibrating springs).

Topics that will not be on the exam: 11.11 Applications to physics, 17.4 Power series solutions.

How to study for the midterm:

Look over the webwork and homework assignments: two written problem sets (#1, #2) and three webwork assignments (A1, A2, A34).
Here are some links to old exams from Science 1 and other calculus courses. Note that previous Science 1 exams only included proof type questions. They had separate quizzes for computational problems. Our exam includes both proofs and computations. Expect to see at least one epsilon-delta proof, an application of the intermediate value theorem, definition of derivative.
