The Geometric Langlands Program

This talk is part of a three-part lecture series presented by Taeuk Nam.

We will discuss the geometric Langlands program, with an emphasis on motivation. We will mostly focus on the de Rham, global, critical level, unramified geometric Langlands correspondence (which was proved recently by Gaitsgory et al), but we will also spend some time explaining what kinds of variations exist.
