Paige Bright
Graduate Student
Paige Bright is a Masters student working with Izabella Łaba, Pablo Shmerkin, and Josh Zahl in the Harmonic Analysis and Fractal Geometry research group at UBC. Paige obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from MIT in 2024. After completing her master's at UBC, Paige will return to MIT to pursue her Ph.D in mathematics under Larry Guth.
Paige's research interests include problems in projection theory, fractal geometry, and Fourier analysis. This has included work on exceptional set estimates for orthogonal and radial projections, Furstenberg sets (a fractal version of Kakeya sets), continuum analogues of problems from discrete geometry, and more. In her free time, Paige likes blogging and spending way too much time at coffee shops.
Paige uses she/her pronouns.
