Dragos Ghioca obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley in 2005 and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the McMaster University 2005-2007. He is currently a Professor at UBC Mathematics.

His research interests include Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry and Algebraic Dynamics.
