Zinovy Reichstein obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Harvard University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Penssylvania and the University of California at Berkeley. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics at UBC.

His research interests include algebra, algebraic geometry and algebraic groups.
