Michael Bennett
Faculty
Michael Bennett obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia and held Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Universities of Waterloo and Michigan, and at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton. Before returning to UBC, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois. He is currently a Professor at UBC Mathematics.
His research interests are in Number Theory.
He is a former winner of the Ribenboim Prize, a Fellow of the Canadian and American Mathematical Societies, and a former President of the Canadian Mathematical Society.
