Caleb Marshall

Graduate Student

Caleb Marshall is a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Malabika Pramanik in the Harmonic Analysis and Fractal Geometry research group at UBC. Caleb obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Mathematics from Missouri State University in 2019 and a Master of Science in Mathematics from UBC in November of 2021.

Caleb's research lies at the intersection of Fractal Geometry, Fourier Analysis, and Combinatorial Number Theory. They are currently studying projections for fractal sets, as well as problems related to integer tilings, with their most recent projects examining the Favard length of certain self-similar sets in the plane. More information about Caleb's research can be found at their website, which is linked below their profile picture.

In May 2021, Caleb accepted an invitation to become a Vanier Graduate Scholar of Canada.  Caleb's research and studies are currently supported by the Vanier Canadian Graduate Scholarship.

In May 2025, Caleb received the Killam Graduate Teaching Award, and accepted an invitation to become a Killam Scholar of Canada.

Caleb's uses both he/him and they/them pronouns.
