Philip Loewen
Faculty
Philip D. Loewen obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia in 1986, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Centre de Recherches Mathematiques in Montreal and, later, at Imperial College in London. He is currently a Professor at UBC Mathematics, specializing in both the theory and applications of optimization, control, and nonsmooth analysis.
