UBC Mathematics Professor Ailana Fraser has been selected as a section lecturer (invited speaker) at the prestigious 2026 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM). The ICM, the largest international conference in mathematics, takes place every four years, and the upcoming event will be held in Philadelphia from July 23 to 30, 2026.

Being chosen as an invited speaker at the ICM is a significant honour, recognizing mathematicians who are experts in their field or who have made exceptional contributions to a specific area of mathematics.
