Farid Aliniaeifard receives the Mathematics Department Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Postdoctoral Fellow (2022)

The undergraduate committee makes this award each semester to recognize the teaching contributions of our postdoctoral fellows. We rely heavily on their efforts, especially but not exclusively in 100- and 200- level classes. Congratulations to Guodong and Farid, and thanks for all you do for the department.

Farid Alinaeifard taught MATH 442. He emphasizes community in his classes. Multiple students remarked on how MATH 442 was a bright spot in a year of pandemic learning. Farid's teaching style, they wrote, "has helped me make friends and look forward to class and also has encouraged group study. Professor Farid has consistently been an effective, inspiring and empathetic instructor.”
