Damien Huet wins the UBC Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award (2021/2022)

This award acknowledges the invaluable role of our TAs in our teaching mission. The winners demonstrate teaching excellence and have a high level of esteem for the from undergraduate students and supervisors. Damien is being recognized with the Killam GTA Award after running labs in MECH 2, teaching a lecture section of MATH 102, and attending professional development teaching seminars -- all with very positive feedback from students and colleagues. In particular, Damien integrated active learning techniques (chat, polling, breakoutrooms) into his MATH 102 classroom teaching despite the difficulties of doing so online.
