Elliptic Curves, Division Polynomials, and Pairings

Elliptic divisibility sequences are integer sequences associated to the multiples of a point on an elliptic curves.  They carry a lot of information about the curve, including pairing information.  I'll explain this connection then mention some recent work on generalizations.
