What are the requirements to be admitted to the mathematics honours program?

Can I be admitted to the mathematics honours program if I am not a second year student?

Admissions to the mathematics honours program usually occurs in year 2. However, admission in other years is possible. Faculty of science students should consult this page and faculty of arts students should consult this page for more information about admission to the math honours program.

If I take [Course X] and [Course Y], can I receive credit for both?

In general, you will receive credit for every UBC course for which you obtain a passing grade. However, certain pairs of courses have very similar material, so if you take one of them you will not receive credit for taking the other.
