Self-similar solutions of Gauss curvature flows
Self-similar solutions of curvature flows are of interest
because they arise as asymptotic limits of these flows. I
will describe some results on the classification of complete
noncompact convex hypersurfaces of Euclidean space moving
homothetically under flow by a positive or negative power
of the Gauss curvature.
Refreshments will be served at 2:45 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge,
Math Annex (Room 1115).
