Holomorphic bundles and Lagrangian submanifolds in mirror symmetry
If a Calabi-Yau manifold is a special Lagrangian torus fibration, then one
can construct its mirror manifold. The mirror is still a Calabi-Yau
manifold which is again a torus fibration. The mirror is the so called
"D-brane moduli space" in string theory. A version of the
Strominger-Yau-Zaslow program predicts a correspondence between
(stable) holomorphic bundles on the domain space and the (special)
Lagrangian submanifolds in its mirror. In this talk, I will discuss the
results Gang Tian and I have obtained on this correspondence.
Refreshments will be served in Math Annex Room 1115, 3:15 p.m.
