Multiplier Operators on the Heisenberg group

This talk will give an introduction to multiplier theory in harmonic analysis, in particular to the classical Marcinkiewicz multiplier theorem on \Bbb{R}^n. The Heisenberg group, \Bbb{H}_n, will be introduced, with a discussion of its important connection to several complex variables, and a generalization to \Bbb{H}_n of the Marcinkiewicz multiplier theorem.
