Ginzburg-Landau equations play an important role in physics (superconductivity, phase transitions, nonlinear optics) as well as in geometry (minimal surfaces, geodesics, ...). In this talk we would like to present various recent contributions on the subject, including our book with Brezis and Helein, as well as works by Lin, Struwe, Almeida, Serfaty, Saut and the speaker.
