Structures of intermediate complexity and quantum dynamics
Abstract: We discuss the spreading properties of quantum particles in structures
of intermediate complexity. Examples of interest include quasicrystals. We carry out
a complete analysis for the Fibonacci Hamiltonian, which is the most prominent object
in the mathematics and physics literature on quasicrystals.
Refreshments will be served at 2:45 p.m. (MATX 1115, Math Lounge).
