The Ricci flow and applications to complex geometry

Abstract: Since its introduction by Richard Hamilton in 1982, the Ricci flow has been successfully applied to fundamental problems in topology, Riemannian and Kahler geometry. In this talk I will discuss some current directions and developments in the Ricci flow with emphasis on complex geometry.

Refreshments will be served at 12:15 p.m. (Math Lounge, MATX 1115).
