Projection methods -- a guided tour
Abstract: Projection methods are conceptually simple yet powerful algorithms for
solving feasibility and approximation problems. I will survey classical and modern
results on projection methods. Theoretical (weak vs strong convergence), practical
(approximation and acceleration), and applied (phase retrieval) aspects will be
considered.
PIMS Tea and refreshments will be served between 3:00-3:35 p.m. in WMAX 101 (the PIMS Library).
