UBC Mathematics Welcomes Nicolle González

Nicolle’s work lies in algebraic combinatorics and representation theory, with applications to link homology theory.
Before joining UBC, Nicolle was an Institute for Computational and Experimental (ICERM) Research Fellow at Brown University during the Fall 2025 Categorification and Computation in Algebraic Combinatorics semester program. Prior to this, she was a Charles B. Morrey Visiting Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley.
Dr. González completed her PhD at the University of Southern California in 2019 and completed a Berlekamp postdoctoral fellowship for the Higher Categories and Categorification program at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI, now known as the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath)).
UBC Mathematics welcomes Dr. González.
