UBC Mathematics Professor Dr. Lior Silberman served as one of the team leaders for Canada’s 2025 National Physics Olympiad team, which proudly earned three silver medals and two bronze medals at this year’s prestigious competition in Paris, France.

The Canadian team, composed of exceptional high school students, trains at the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus under the guidance of expert instructors like Dr. Silberman. Their dedication and talent were on full display on the international stage.
