Extensions of Bowen's equation for Hausdorff dimension of cookie cutters and quasi-circles

In my talk I am going to present the ways Bowen's method of thermodynamic formalism can be extended and applied to settings other than the one we covered in the seminar last term. In particular, I am going to expand on Bowen's original motivation which rises from the actions of discrete subgroups of PSL(2, C) on the Riemann sphere and the limit sets of such actions. No prerequisites needed.
