I have always been interested in how people learn mathematics, and this matured with my teaching experiences in graduate school. I started some further development, including the Graduate Certificate in Higher Learning offered through CTLT (was still TAG at the time). Since completing my doctorate in mathematics in December, 2009, I have been working as a Science Teaching and Learning Fellow with the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative at UBC, and have trained as an ISW facilitator. My specialty is in early undergraduate mathematics education studying student learning and working with instructors at that level.
