- 10% = in class quizzes (every second Thursday)
- 10% = workshops

- Allowance for a missed Midterm Test may be granted in the following two circumstances:
- (a) prior notice of a valid, documented absence (e.g. out-of-town varsity athletic commitment) on the scheduled date; or
- (b) notification to the instructor within 72 hours of absence due to medical condition.
Otherwise the score is 0. For missed Midterm Tests, original written documentation (for example a doctors note or letter from a coach) is required.
Academic Integrity
- Please be aware of the guideline for acceptable and non-acceptable conduct for graded assessments.
- All submitted work with your name on it should be your own work, written in your own words, regardless of whether it was done individually or as a group
- Copying someone else's solution or copying solutions found through other sources such as the web is considered as a breach in academic integrity.
UBC takes academic integrity as a very serious issue. Students found guilty of breaching these guidelines are usually given a final grade of 0 in the course, suspended from UBC for one year, and a notation made on their Transcript of Academic Record.
