In the final exam,
- there will be around 8 problems evenly distributed across 5 chapters (Chap 2, 3, 6, 7, 9).
- Chapter 8 on numerical methods is not covered.
- Same table of Laplace transform will be provided.
- Table 9.1.1 or 9.3.1 will not be provided.
- There will be no 3x3 matrices and no Jordan form.
- No global phase portrait for nonlinear systems.

The final exam will be held on Dec 16 at 12:00pm. The locations for sections 101 to 105 are GEOG 100, MATH 100, HENN 200, SCRF 100, and LSK 200, respectively. See complete list.

Second Midterm Exam on 11.13: It will cover sections 3.3-3.7 and 6.1-6.6.

The final exam is scheduled on Wednesday, December 16, 12pm. The location will be announced later.

Tutorial service: In additional to those provided by Math Department and AMS, a new TA will be tutoring for Math 255, 256, and 257 in front of Starbucks in the Kaiser building (on Main Mall), on Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 3-5 pm. The TA is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering.

For those of you who hold the 8th edition of the textbook: Edition 8 and Edition 9 are similar. However, all homework problems are assigned from the 9th edition.

A textbook of the 9th edition has been put in the library reserve and is available for 2 hour loan. You can use it to find the homework problems if you only have 8th edition of the textbook. Reserve books are held at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor of the north wing of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.
