Position: Instructor I

As a theoretical mathematician I enjoy think about and discuss abstract concepts for pleasure. In addition to being incredibly useful and intrinsically pleasing, beautiful mathematics is the world's finest art, the only timeless art. It's utterly remarkable how interlinked all of mathematics is. My main research is on interplay between analysis and algebra of Lau-algebras, which is a special class of Banach algebras that arise frequently in abstract harmonic analysis.
As an educator, I have a special interest in K-12 math education and sharing recreational math with the community. For teachers, we organise professional development workshops, conferences, and Math Fair mentorship. For students we offer speaker series, school visits, tutors, and puzzles exhibits. For the general public we have puzzle exhibits and game nights.
I am a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario and love to be outdoors. I also like to play racket sports, especially badminton.
