Population distribution in Mexico, 1895-2010

About the video The data used to generate the video was publicly available census data obtained from the Inegi website. The data used is from the years 1895, 1900, 1910, 1921, 1930, 1940, 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010. To smoothen the video, a cubic spline was used to generate intermediate data (one frame for every 1/10th of a year). During the first two census Quintana-Roo was part of Yucatan, so I split the population equally, although later Quintana-Roo had such a small population that the cubic interpolation became negative at one point (very visible in the video).
