I'm Buffy. The Vampire Slayer. And you are...? – Buffy Summers, BtVS Episode 3.1 ("Anne")

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in mathematics, with a joint appointment at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University.

My research interests are in number theory, especially when attached to the adjectives elementary, analytic, and combinatorial. My thesis, written under the supervision of Carl Pomerance, concerns the arithmetic of polynomials over finite fields. My recent work focuses on Erdős-style problems concerning classical arithmetic functions (such as the Euler φ-function and the sum-of-divisors function) and their iterates.

If you are here, there's a good chance you are interested in either my papers, my CV, or my job application materials:

My text on elementary methods in number theory, Not Always Buried Deep, was published by the American Mathematical Society in late 2009. Please email me with any mistakes you notice to have them added to the errata list here.
