    The first midterm was on Tuesday Feb. 5. Here is a list of topics to review for the test. Here is an old midterm from 2010. Here are solutions for it. Here is an old midterm from 2012. Ignore the questions about modular arithmetic for now.

    The second midterm was on Thursday March 14.
    The test on March 14 will be based on material presented in the lectures, workshops and homeworks starting with Chapter 4 up to March 7. This roughly corresponds to the following sections in the textbook: 4.1-4.5, 5.1-5.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 8.1, 9.1-9.4.


    The Final exam is at 8:30 on Fri. April 12 in LSK 201.
    The Exam is based on material covered in the lectures, workshops and HW's. This is approximated by the following sections in the text: Ch. 1, 2.1-2.10, 3.2-3.4,Ch. 4, 5.1-5.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 8.1, 9.1-9.6, 10.1-10.4, part of 10.5, 12.1. All material will be weighted equally. Here is a list of topics to study for the final exam.
