Here is a program that shows you visually the effect of adding terms to a Fourier partial sum: try it with some of the answers you get for Fourier series coefficients (it can be used for sine series, or for cosine series, but unfortunately not for full Fourier series that have both sine and cosine terms).

• Midterm Test 2: Friday November 15, 2:00 - 2:50 p.m.

### Final Examination

Mon Dec 9, OSBO A, 3:30--6:00 p.m.; link to UBC final exam schedule
• No books, etc. allowed.
• One 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of notes (hand-written or computer-printed, on both sides) allowed.
• No calculators, cell phones, etc. allowed.
• Laplace transform table provided.
• Bring UBCcard (or other official photo I.D., if UBCcard is unavailable), they must be checked during the exam.

NOTE: Not doing homework (yourself) will make it nearly impossible to pass the course. Test and exam questions will be based on homework questions, but you will have limited time for them in the tests and exam.

• 10% - Homework

• 20% - Midterm Test 2
• 50% - Final Examination
