SUGGESTED HOMEWORK PROBLEMS

2010 11 17 17:00

Suggested weekly homework problems are posted here. Your instructor may assign all of or some of the suggested homework problems given below, and also may assign other homework problems not on this list. Doing the homework problems is essential in order to do well in the course. Your instructor may use either or both of the following means to check that you understand how to solve the homework problems:

These problems are from the textbook, Calculus, Early Transcendentals, 6th edition or Single Variable Calculus, Early Transcendentals, 6th edition, both by James Stewart. Answers to the odd-numbered problems are given in the back of the text, and solutions are in the Student Solutions Manual. If you have an older edition of the textbook, you will have to find out the corresponding textbook sections and question numbers yourself, perhaps by borrowing the current edition from a friend and transferring the information to your textbook.

The “Weeks” here correspond to those given in the course outline.
