Registration:
Questions regarding registration for this class should be addressed to the Mathematics Department office staff, Room 121 Mathematics Building.

Homework:
Assigned weekly and due on Fridays. Your lowest homework mark will be dropped. Most assignments will be submitted online through Webwork, but there will be some supplementary assignments to be submitted in class. First assignment (Assignment 0 and Assignment 1) will be due on Friday, January 11 at 11:59 PM. It covers material in Sections 12.1 and 12.2 of the text (edition 7E). Assignment 0 is not for Marks.

Course Description :
Topics include Vectors and Geometry of Space (Chapter 12 + Section 10.5), Partial Derivatives, Differentiaility and Max-Min (Chapter 14), Double and Triple Integrals (Chapter 15)


Evaluation

Your course mark will be based on homework (15%), the two midterms (35%) and the final exam (50%). These are approximate percentages and other factors may be taken into account.


Course Policies

Missed Exam Policy: Please make sure you do not make travel plans, work plans, etc., without regard to the examination schedule in this class. There will be no make-up or alternate exams.

If you miss a midterm, your score will be recorded as 0, unless you have a serious documented reason (an illness, a death in the family, etc.), in which case you should discuss your circumstances with me as soon as possible, and in advance of the test.

Missed finals are not handled by the Instructor or the Mathematics Department. Students with legitimate reasons for missing the final exam should request a "Standing Deferred" status through their Faculty.
