Please email me or talk to me after class to arrange alternate meeting times if necessary. For tragically unexciting reasons my office is inside of another locked room, so it isn't possible for you to just drop in.

If you have feedback you would like to give anonymously, there is a Gmail account that was created for this purpose. The username is ubc.math.105.921, and the password is formed by taking the first letter of each word in sequence, and then the second letter. For example, happy.days.1974.1984 would generate the password hd11aa99.

Homework

All homework is done through WeBWorK, which can be accessed by clicking on "MATH105_2011S" at the WeBWorK homepage. The homework assignments due dates are listed once you log in; typically homework will be due at midnight on Tuesdays and Fridays.

If you have technical difficulties with a WeBWorK exercise please use the button labelled "email instructor" that appears below the problem.

To see the solutions, select a homework set, select a problem, check the box “ Show correct answers”, and then click the button labeled Check Answers.

Important Dates

The first midterm exam will be held during class on Wednesday, June 29th, at 1:00PM.
The second midterm exam will be held during class on Wednesday, July 13th, at 1:00PM.
The third midterm exam will be held during class on Wednesday, July 20th, at 1:00PM.
The final exam will be held on Friday, July 29th, at 1:00PM. The exam will be 2.5 hours long, and will take place in our regular lecture hall (Buchanan A102).
