Here are a number of my favourite links, in no particular order.
- www.dictionary.com, a number of on-line dictionaries.
- babel.altavista.com, a foreign language translator (as good as I would expect from a computer).
- www.dmoz.org, Open Directory Project, a seemingly good, volunteer-based directory of the web (over 24,000 volunteers as of April 2000).
- www.kol-israel.com, a collection of radio, newspapers, etc. in Hebrew (and some English) available on the internet.
- sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin, an absolutely free unix shell (bash) and unix utilities (including gawk) for Windows.
