Outline

This will cover specific items pertaining to Section 201. Here is the 105 Course Outline for all sections.

General

We will follow the sections in order as they appear on the course outline.

The questions given in the outline are questions designed to help your understanding of the course material. They are not to be handed in, but please do as many of them as possible. Mathematics is not learned in a classroom. It's learned by trying questions. Also do not wait until before the midterm, or next week, or tomorrow to start. It's easier to keep up than catch up.

Evaluation

Assignments - 10%

Term Tests - 40%

Final Exam - 50%

Assignments will be given out (almost) every week.

You will be given (at least) a week to complete them.

Students are encouraged to work together in attempting the questions, however final solutions must be written up by yourself. No copying will be tolerated.

Assignments will be given out on the Assignment page. when they are available.

Term Tests

The term tests will be held in class on January 29th, March 12th and March 31st.

The best 2 of the 3 grades will be used to calculate the 50%.

Calculators

Please read the course outline about calculators. It will be followed strongly.

Academic Dishonesty

Cheating in any form will not be tolerated in this class. I will do everything I can to help guide you through this course, but anybody caught cheating will immediately lose any sympathy from me, and will be dealt with harshly. However, I'm sure nobody in this class is dishonest enough for this to be an issue.

Having unauthorized calculators fall under this category.
