MATH 180 Section 201 Topics and Formulas

Students are responsible for all topics included in the course outline. All of the topics covered in the course are contained within the relevant sections of the textbook or the Course Notes. Self-prepared “cheat sheets” are not allowed on the midterm or final exams, and reference formula sheets will not be provided. Necessary formulas will generally not be provided in the statements of questions, but note the following:

• students do not need to memorize formulas for volumes or surface areas of three-dimensional solids (if such a formula is required to do a question on an exam, it will be given);
• in the Course Notes section 1, students do not need to memorize the list of six Maclaurin polynomials given at the top of p. 5;
• in §2.6, students are not responsible for the Precise Definitions;
• in §3.7, students are only responsible for applications to physics;
• in §3.10, students are not responsible for differentials
