Drop-in Tutorials: The mathematics department runs a free tutorial centre staffed by teaching assistants, all of whom are capable of answering your math questions. The centre is located in LSK 300, and opens on Septmeber 10th. For more details, go here.
Homework: Homework assignments will be posted online every Friday, and will be due at the beginning of class on the following Friday. For the sake of the environment, please write on both sides of the paper.
Reading: Reading assignments will be posted online, and expected to be completed before class.
Grading Scheme: Final exam 50%; midterms 40% (2 midterms worth 20% each); homework 5%; clicker questions 5%

Midterm Dates: Friday, October 5th, and Friday, November 9th
Calculators: No calculators or formula sheets are allowed on the final exam or midterm exams.
Missed Assignments and Midterms: If an assignment or clicker question is missed for a documented medical or other acceptable reason, it will be ignored; otherwise, it will be given a grade of zero. Late assingments will not be accepted. Allowance for a missed midterm may be granted in the following two circumstances: (a) prior notice of a valid, documented absence (e.g. out-of-town varsity athletic commitment) on the scheduled date; or (b) notification to the instructor within 72 hours of absence due to medical condition. Original written documentation, for example a doctor's note or letter from a coach, is required; otherwise, a score of 0 will be given for the missed assignment or midterm.
