Lecture Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 16:00-17:00 in LSK 460

Drop-in Tutorials: The mathematics department runs a free tutorial centre staffed by teaching assistants, all of whom are capable of answering your calculus questions. For more details, go here.

Homework and Quizzes: Suggested homework problems have been posted here. Homework will not be collected. Instead, there will be a short quiz at the end of every Friday class. These quizzes will consist of questions that are very similiar (if not identical) to the homework questions.

Final Exam Date: Wednesday April 23rd, 3:30-6:00, OSBO, room A

Midterm Dates: Friday February 8th and Friday March 14th

Grading Scheme: Final exam 50%; midterms 30% (2 midterms worth 15% each); quizzes 20%

Calculators: No calculators or formula sheets are allowed on the final exam, midterm exams, or quizzes.

Missed Quizzes and Midterms: If a quiz is missed for a documented medical or other acceptable reason, it will be ignored. Allowance for a missed midterm may be granted in the following two circumstances: (a) prior notice of a valid, documented absence (e.g. out-of-town varsity athletic commitment) on the scheduled date; or (b) notification to the instructor within 72 hours of absence due to medical condition. Original written documentation, for example a doctor’s note or letter from a coach, is required; otherwise, a score of 0 will be given for the missed quiz or midterm.
