Research Interest

My research focuses on the analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations, especially on the fundamental wellposedness/illposedness issues, and long time asymptotic behavior of solutions. Specifically I have worked on:

  • Mathematical fluid dynamics (Navier-Stokes, Euler, Surface quasi-geostrophic equations)
  • Mathematical physics (this includes nonlinear dispersive equations such as nonlinear Schrödinger and wave equations, Euler-Poisson systems in plasma physics, the Skyrme model, Gross-Pitaevskii equation)
  • Mathematical biology (aggregation equations, Keller-Segel type chemotaxis)
