About Me

I am currently a PhD student in the department of mathematics at UBC working with Joel Friedman. My research area is algebraic graph theory where I study eigenvalues of random lifts of graphs.

Before that, I completed my MSc in Mathematics at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland where I mainly studied algebraic topology under Kathryn Hess Bellwald.

Teaching in Fall 2010

I’m teaching Math 110, section 003 this term. It is a two-term course in differential calculus with additional material designed to strengthen understanding of essential pre-calculus topics. The website for this course can be found here.

For Graduate Students

I am also the current president of the Math Grads Committee here at UBC. Our main missions consists of representing graduate students in the math department and organizing some events to enhance their experience here in Vancouver.

Have a look at our Graduate Seminar which I co-chair with Robert Klinzmann. It is held every other Thursday in LSK 460 and features short talks by graduate students and free pizza and pop!
