Using standard PostScript fonts
Displaying text is just a
special case of defining paths and filling them.
But fonts are ubiquitous, and displaying them elegantly
and efficiently was a major factor
in the development of PostScript. So a font
is a special kind of object, not just a general array.
Several fonts are built into PostScript,
and others are defined in special font files
that can be imported into a program. I'll deal
only with the first.
This method can be used when the text has no mathematical symbols,
only standard ascii characters.
