The assignment

Consists of three questions. The first two require analytic work (normal maths), while the third takes the form of a numerical experiment. The assignment in the form of a PDF file can be found here.

Plagiarism coversheet

Since this is the first piece of assessment for this subject, you are required to submit a plagiarism coversheet with the assignment. It can be found here in PDF format.

Function iterator

In order to complete the assignment you are required to iterate (numerically) a number of functions. If you are unable to program a computer (or use a spreadsheet, etc...) I have provided a function iterator applet below (with many thanks to R. Sinclair):
