Question: How do I request for an AV setup at MATH 126 room?
Author: Tony Nguyen
Date: October 28th, 2013

The AV system at MATH 126 is a LifeSize videoconferencing system. It's NOT a normal Zoom video conference system. To request for an AV setup in MATH 126 room for your seminars, you need to supply us the following information to "av (at) math (dot) ubc (dot) ca" in advance:

  1. The email of the remote contact person so that we can check if the remote system is compatible or not.
  2. Your booking time for the MATH 126 room
  3. Do you plan to use the white boards only for your talk?
  4. Is it a Zoom meeting? If so, please email us your Zoom meeting ID and passcode so that we can test to ensure the Zoom meeting ID works.
  5. If you plan to use a laptop,
    • Is your laptop Windows, Mac OS or Linux?
    • Please email your slideshow file(s) to us if available
    • Please meet us 30 min in Math 126 before the talk to connect the laptop to the AV system
