UBC Mathematics: MathNet FAQ [Ordering Toner Cartridges]

Question: How do I order a toner cartridge for my printer?
Author: Joseph Tam
Date: April 2, 2008

You can either

  1. Order it directly from a vendor, then make arrangements with our department Clerk to pay it out of your grant; or
  2. You can order it through our Front Desk Receptionist. Be sure to specify
    1. Who is ordering the toner cartridge.
    2. Which speedchart account to charge it to.
    3. What toner cartridge model number to order; if you don't know, specify the printer model instead.
    4. Whether you want new or re-manufactured: re-manufactured cartridges are cheaper, but may leak if old. Some models (e.g. HP) tolerate the re-manufacturing process well.

Also be sure to Cc the IT staff so that they won't mix your shipment into their toner pool.

You will be notified upon shipment which typically takes a few days.

Empty toner cartridges can be dropped off at the IT Staff's office.
