Topology of Infinite dimensional groups
We study the actions of infinite dimensional groups like loop groups
and Diffeomorphism groups on certain contractible spaces known as
buildings and show how these ideas yield important information on
the topology and geometry of the groups.
Refreshments will be served at 2:45 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge,
Math Annex (Room 1115).
