Grades

Your grade for the course will be computed roughly as follows:

Homework:  20%
Midterm:  30%
Final:  50%

There will be a midterm exam on Friday, February 15 in class.
The midterm and final exams will be closed book. No formula sheets or calculators will be allowed.

If you miss the midterm exam, the grading scheme will be adjusted so that the final exam is worth more, if you have a medical emergency and present a doctor's note to your instructor, or if you have had the instructor's prior consent. Otherwise, you will get 0 as your midterm grade.

Homework Assignments

There will be homework collected every week (which will be posted on this web site). Late homework will not be accepted. The lowest homework grade will be dropped.
